Dogotherapy

19th of May 2000 year to may home it arrived a little black bitch (she was only 5-weeks-old) – a hybrid between a Syberian Husky and a German shepherd. Sara, as we named her, learns very quickly and in short time understand every order. Sara also like playing with the ball and fetching. When she was 1,5 years old
I started to think to what kind of work I could teach her. We tried jogging, but I am not good in that. I did not want to make her draught-dog, because I was afraid that we could lose our contact. In that desperation we went on an exam, which qualified us for the work with disabled people, especially with children.
At the time I did not know much about dogotherapy. At the first exam ‘for the aggression’ the judge Marta Czerwińska from the Fundation DOGTOR qualified my dog to the further training.
When we were trained and after exams on the 1st and 2nd degree (at which we scored the highest marks), we started our adventure with disabled children. Two, three times at week Sara all her heart devotes to children. In 2004 Harmonie started to support Sara in her work and in 2005 Black Obsession and Avanti joined to this group.
Today I know a lot about dogotherapy, I learnt myself in work with my dogs. I do not want to make them ashamed about me. I also try to share my knowledge with others on the courses in DOGTOR.

My knowledge bases on experience and practice – there is not a lot of literature about dogotherapy.

The classes with children base on skills and qualities of dogs. Only in that way they have any sense and can help children and the lonely ill people.

Today I know that the dogotherapy is the sense of my life and the possibility to take my dogs to work.
So there are not a lot of moments of our loneliness.
